Duck! Rabbit! Duck! Elk! Fiddler Crab!

“Shoot me again! I enjoy it. I love the smell of burnt feathers. And gunpowder. And cordite. I’m an elk! Shoot me! Go, it’s elk season. I’m a fiddler crab. Why don’t you shoot me? It’s fiddler crab season.” Mike Maltese’s famous lines from Duck! Rabbit! Duck! (1953). Here are some of the poses.

Ken Harris, Abe Levitow, Ben Washam, Lloyd Vaughan and Dick Thompson get the animation credits.

  2. The funniest part of the cartoon, in my opinion.

    1. The brief part of Daffy saying "I'm an elk, Shoot me" was used in "Space Jam" when the aliens and Swackhammer are seeing clips of classic Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies shorts.

  3. This part is probably one of the things that put this over Rabbit Fire and Rabbit Seasoning for me. Such a hilarious mental breakdown.

  4. Elmer looks pretty ugly-bland here compared to the amazing Daffy poses.
