Out of curiosity, does anyone know who is being referred to in the election sign on the fence?

As usual, Disney never credited his artists on the early shorts.
When you figure that Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. were co-founders of United Artists, which started to distribute the Disney cartoons around this time, it's almost certainly Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. that's being depicted.
