He's in There!

Bugs Bunny points out where he is hiding to the big bad wolf in Little Red Riding Rabbit. After several misfires, it turns out Bugs actually is hiding where he’s pointing.

Through the magic of frame grabs, you can see at least one frame where Bugs is in two places at once.

Two Bugs.

Bugs runs out of the frame.

Mike Maltese got the story credit, and the same type of gag was used several times at Warner Bros. by different writers.

Manny Perez gets the rotating animator credit in one of Friz Freleng’s most enjoyable cartoons.

  1. This one still makes me laugh out loud. In addition to the writing, animation, and music,...the three B's knocked this one out of the park. Blanc, Benaderet, and Bletcher. " Put on your old gray bonnet...."

    1. Combined probably the best voice work ever in a WB short, as all three get their comedic turns and nail it. And of course, using the same Bletcher voice as in Disney's Three Little Pigs efforts just adds to the effectiveness (hard to see Walt's wolf ever singing "Put On Your Old Gray Bonnet" in a nightgown).
