The planet Saturn pulls the magnet out of the Earth and gravity goes haywire in Betty Boop’s Ups and Downs (1932).
A chopped tree falls up. A fox in the tree bails in a parachute that goes up. There’s a nice jazz cornet and bass playing in the background; it’s "Bugle Call Rag" by Billy Banks and his Orchestra on the Brunswick label.
I like the next drawing in the scene with the cow with no clue what’s going on.
This may be one of the oddest Fleischer cartoons. The Depression results in homes for sale, which expands to the Earth being for sale, and the Moon auctions it off. Willard Bowsky and Ugo D’Orsi are the credited animators.
