De Wolfe, like Conried and Winchell played yet another iconic mustachioed cartoon villain, in the specialTHE character Billy's known for in cartoons, Professor Hinkle, with the standard fussy diction with Durante narrating, not to mention Jackie Vernon as Frosty. Howard Morris and Allan Melvin worked together quite a lot, first on those King Features cartoons that J.Lee mentions, then Hanna-Barbera then for Filmation after Morris left H-B (for being replaced by Don Messick on the 1966 Alice in Wonderland record due to whatever reason (not an isolated incident in kiddie records, needless to say as observed with other HB records and Golden Records earlier in the Yowp blog)

Jim Backus and Frank Nelson would be other additions.

(Not to mention my voice in the Gumbys, Dallas McKennon..)Pokeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15936757752447320636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3738012638904762739.post-39884269633019235822013-12-29T17:09:05.819-08:002013-12-29T17:09:05.819-08:00IIRC, Morris' first work for cartoons was actu...IIRC, Morris' first work for cartoons was actually for Gene Deitch, in 1961's "Munro". Thanks to King Features opting to use west coast voice talent on their made-for-TV cartoons (done mainly on the East Coast of the U.S. and Australia and Eastern Europe), Morris turned up in those shorts, the pilots for which were done between his work for Deitch and his H-B debut.J Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15175515543694122729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3738012638904762739.post-86893473879364892912013-12-28T21:00:03.346-08:002013-12-28T21:00:03.346-08:00Howard Morris did some work on Cartoon Network'...Howard Morris did some work on Cartoon Network's "Cow & Chicken" - his voice is easily recognizable!Jason Armadillohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11754407103942690049noreply@blogger.com
