He was way ahead of his time.....kind of like an early Letterman always making fun of the network and showbiz bloat in general.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13615695172799062887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3738012638904762739.post-65662685922602632462017-03-05T06:40:30.895-08:002017-03-05T06:40:30.895-08:00Wow, very interesting! There are designated commercial breaks (title card: 'commercial here') and the thing seems pretty self-contained with beginning and end credits. Would love to see more if they exist!Dave Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16757990886573765702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3738012638904762739.post-78829110093624247352017-03-02T08:13:03.619-08:002017-03-02T08:13:03.619-08:00Dave, they must have been kicking around for a whi...Dave, they must have been kicking around for a while. <i>Broadcasting</i> magazine of Dec. 10, 1962 reported Hoffberg Productions of New York had acquired worldwide release rights for them. 13 programmes were made but the story doesn't say how many of the shorts were in a programme.Yowphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09264605351878574044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3738012638904762739.post-24849249079977623282017-03-02T07:27:37.966-08:002017-03-02T07:27:37.966-08:00I have a 16mm print of a 13 minute film I believe ...I have a 16mm print of a 13 minute film I believe must have been a pilot for a TV series, circa early 50's MORGANTONE NEWS. Henry Morgan hosts old newsreel footage, supplying sarcastic narration most of the time. But there are a couple of very early talkie interviews included, so inexplicably weird on their own that leaves them intact with no commentary! Not on IMDB, this item has kind of mystified me... have not seen anything on it elsewhere. Plus, actor Morgan probably didn't want hate mail from sponsors, listeners, etc showing up at his address. Remember him well as a panelist on " To Tell The Trust ". It has been ages since I've read or seen anything about Morgan. I guess he was radio's original " Bad Boy ".
